MDI Biological Laboratory Awarded Grant to Advance Cloud Computing in Maine
In order to promote the shift to cloud computing amongst the 14 educational and research partners that make up the Maine INBRE network, lead institution MDI Biological Laboratory was recently awarded a grant of $126,449.
This “cloud lab” program will address the costs and time associated with analyzing the large, complex datasets generated in modern scientific experiments, which can place a strain on a researcher's resources and inhibit easy, rapid analysis and sharing of information between locations.
