Making a Planned Gift
The MDI Biological Laboratory is here today because of the forward-thinking gift of one donor more than 125 years ago: a bequest of ¼ acre of land. The John S. Kingsley Society, named for the MDI Biological Laboratory’s founder John Sterling Kingsley, recognizes the outstanding generosity of those who have made legacy gifts to the Laboratory. You and our John S. Kingsley Society members are the foundation upon which MDIBL is built – and are at the very core of our mission. Without you, our work is not possible.
Build Your Legacy
One of the most meaningful and powerful ways to support our work is through a planned gift. Choosing the right planned gift depends upon your personal circumstances and financial goals. Anyone can make a planned gift and they are welcome at any level.
Make a Difference, Make a Plan
We are here to help you to accomplish your goals. Planned gifts are excellent ways to minimize federal, state, and estate taxes while, in some cases, providing a revenue stream to you and your loved ones. Here are some of our most popular planned gifts:
- Bequests
- Life Income Gifts
- Gifts of Life Insurance
- Gifts of Retirement Assets
- Gifts of Real Estate
