Pip Hansen

Assistant Director of Philanthropy

Pip Hansen first joined the MDI Bio Lab Development team in 2020 as a Donor Communications Specialist. After a hiatus back to her native New Zealand in 2023, she rejoined the team in January 2024 and is now the Assistant Director of Philanthropy. Working alongside the Director of Philanthropy, she has oversight of the department’s database and is responsible for donor relation activities, such as the annual appeal and donor stewardship. Connecting donors with the incredible impact they make at MDI Bio Lab is the greatest joy in her working day.

Why support MDI Bio Lab?
Keri Cummings

Major Gifts Officer

Keri Cummings brings a people-first approach to philanthropy, blending genuine connection with a deep appreciation for the role science plays in shaping our future. She joined MDI Biological Laboratory in 2025, inspired by the Lab’s mission and the opportunity to support research that directly improves human health. Originally from Florida, Keri moved to Maine in 2023 to embrace a lifestyle more rooted in nature and community. Her background in healthcare fundraising gave her a front-row seat to the life-changing power of donor generosity—insight she now brings to her work at MDIBL. Keri finds purpose in helping individuals align their giving with their values and takes pride in being a trusted partner to donors who want to make a lasting difference. For her, every relationship is a chance to celebrate curiosity, generosity, and the possibility of progress.
