The Art of Diagnosis: Recognizing Disease in Paintings

This post by MDI Biological Laboratory faculty member Hermann Haller, M.D., professor and director of the Department of Nephrology and Hypertension at Hannover Medical School in Hanover, Germany, uses the painting “Allegory of Love” by the Florentine painter Agnolo Bronzino to discuss how paintings can be used to teach the art of diagnosis.
