Bowen Hall is one of the first buildings people see when arriving at the Laboratory. It was built in the early 1800s and its function over the years has often changed. It was built as a shipwright’s home and has served the MDI Biological Laboratory as an office building, a dining hall, a conference center, and a dormitory.
Today, Bowen Hall is unoccupied due to renovation needs. Work will begin the summer of 2021.
