MDI Science Café: Untapped Resources and Eliminating Waste from Ocean-Based Economies — Patrick Arnold

Patrick Arnold will discuss how “cross pollination” of ocean-based industry and science can benefit Maine’s companies through commercially-driven collaboration. Patrick explains the psychological aspects of creating a culture that entrepreneurs can leverage to push products from concept to commercialization.
Arnold is the owner of Soli DG, Inc., a full service maritime/port development consulting firm focused on business development and operations management of and for seaports.
The MDI Science Cafés are a program of the MDI Biological Laboratory. They offer a relaxed, informal way to learn about the latest scientific developments. Each Café lasts about an hour. Presentations are made in everyday language and questions are welcome.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Seating is limited, but standing room is available. Please arrive early if you require a seat. Cafés are free of charge, and refreshments are available.
