Undergraduate (REU and INBRE) Summer Research Fellowships support students working in the laboratories of resident or visiting scientists on hands-on research projects. During the 10 week residential mentored research experiences, summer fellowships also provide students with other educational opportunities, including an extensive scientific seminar program, professional development workshops, and dedicated residential life programs.
Short courses provide Maine undergraduates with hands-on biomedical research and biotechnology training. These courses are funded by the Maine INBRE network, a partnership of 13 Maine research and education institutions led by the MDI Biological Laboratory.
