Young Environmental Leaders: Spring 2014
A one week residential experience for up to 12 middle and high school students from inland Maine, with teachers.
Location: MDI Biological Laboratory (travel information)
Program participants will interact each day with a variety of program faculty including MDIBL eelgrass researchers affiliated with the Community Environmental Health Laboratory, and Hope Rowan, owner of Western Mountain Mapping. Students will learn leadership skills, and hone field research and laboratory skills through participation in a variety of environmental projects including water quality monitoring, eelgrass habitat monitoring, and mapping.
