CRISPR-based genome engineering has revolutionized the way we do research. Just this year, the discoverers of the technology were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. During this course, we will learn the basics of CRISPR technology and use it to make precision edits in C. elegans nematodes’ genome. We will also learn how CRISPR is used to detect viral infections and use the technique to test for SARS Cov 2.
