The MDI Biological Laboratory will host a grant writing workshop co-led by Drs. David C. Dawson and Iain Drummond. Dr. Dawson is a Professor Emeritus, Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at Oregon Health and Science University, and a former director of MDI Biological Laboratory. Dr. Drummond is a MDI Biological Laboratory Professor and the Director of the Davis Center for Aging and Regeneration. Both are longtime reviewers for the NIH, and the recipients of many institutional and independent research grants.
This will be offered as an interactive online workshop event. Individuals participating in the workshop portion of the event will develop and submit a 1-2 page “mini proposal” based on guidelines and principles provided in advance of the workshop. These mini-grant proposals will be reviewed by assigned participants and the senior faculty in a mock study section on either July 15 or July 16.
New investigators and junior investigators are especially encouraged to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
Enrollment priority is given to INBRE project leaders and INBRE research training faculty
