The course is part of a five-week Bates short-term course. The overall goals of the course are:
- to expose students to cutting edge biomedical research technologies available at MDI Biological Laboratory,
- to give students hands-on experience with a research project on an important model organism, the zebrafish, Danio rerio, and
- to provide students with opportunities to analyze, write about and present a research project.
