Few research training opportunities exist for investigators new to the field of aging and regeneration biology to get hands-on training in state-of-the-art approaches with leaders in these areas. Held near Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, ME, iCARB is a 2-week intensive training course that emphasizes research using established and emerging animal systems along with seminars and networking opportunities. This year, systems of study include C. elegans, Drosophila, hydra, planaria, axolotl, zebrafish, African Turquoise killifish, mouse, African Spiny mouse, along with seminars and networking opportunities by leaders of the field.
Course participants will attend the associated Aging and Stem Cell Symposium at no extra charge.
Complete applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the course has filled, at which time a waiting list will be maintained.
MDI Biological Laboratory is located on Mount Desert Island near Acadia National Park and the popular vacation destination of Bar Harbor, Maine.
