This summer, nineteen undergraduates and four high school students are enrolled in our virtual summer fellowship program. They have been working with mentors from the MDI Biological Laboratory and other INBRE institutions across the state of Maine. During the summer months, these students have developed research proposals, asked thought-provoking questions, and completed research projects that they will present August 5-7!
The 2020 Summer Student Symposium has an asynchronous discussion-based poster session on August 5th and 6th and three-minute talks on August 7th; poster discussions take place in an online discussion forum format at any time between 8 am EST Wednesday, August 5th and 8 pm EST Thursday, August 6th. There is no particular schedule for viewing. Students will be available to talk more about their research experience and answer any additional questions via individual Zoom sessions during these days. The three-minute talks will follow a Three Minute Thesis format and take place between 10 am and noon on Friday, August 7th.
