
The 43rd Annual Maine Biological and Biomedical Sciences Symposium (MBMSS) is a state-wide gathering of scientists and students—an opportunity to share research results, exchange ideas, promote collaboration, and network with Maine scientists in a variety of disciplines.

Keynote Speaker: Douglas C. Wallace, Ph.D.
A Mitochondria Etiology of Complex Diseases
Dr. Wallace is Director, Center for Mitochondrial and Epigenomic Medicine and the Michael and Charles Barnett Chair of Pediatric Mitochondrial Medicine and Metabolic Disease at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His research interests are on the role of mitochondrial energy in human health and disease.

On-Campus Housing
On-Campus Housing is now full. Further requests will be placed on a waiting list in case of withdrawals.
STUDENTS -Dormitory style accommodations are assigned on a space-available basis, registration required to hold. On campus housing consists of double occupancy rooms, shared bathrooms.
A two-day cancellation policy is strictly enforced. No-shows will be charged a $50.00 fee. Campus Map
