The MDI Biological Laboratory seeks a Seasonal Residential Life Coordinator to oversee the residential life program at MDI Biological Laboratory from June 2 to August 15, 2020. The successful candidate will serve as the resident advisor in the high school student dormitory and coordinate the residential life program for all students on campus.
The MDI Biological Laboratory (MDIBL) is a rapidly growing, independent, non-profit biomedical research institution recognized by the international science community and the National Institutes of Health for its highly focused and novel research program in regenerative and aging biology and medicine. The Laboratory provides a uniquely collaborative and multidisciplinary research environment, outstanding scientific resources, and excellent student educational programs, including summer research internships for both undergraduate and high school students.
Required qualifications include: the ability to live on campus in dormitory housing on a full-time basis during the assignment; effective problem-solving and communication skills to provide input and support to students living on campus; strong creative and organizational skills for developing a recreational plan for students throughout their summer experience; possession of a valid driver’s license; and the ability to able to participate in outdoor activities with students.
Preferred qualifications include: a BS or BA degree in administration or education, experience with residential student programs, and 5-10 years of experience working with high school and college-age young adults in an educational setting.
