The MDI Biological Laboratory seeks highly motivated seasonal dining hall cooks/assistants to assist all food service aspects as planned for institutional courses, conferences and events. As members of the food service team, the successful candidates will report to the Food Service Manager.
The incumbents will provide support in maintaining kitchen and dining areas across the MDI Biological Lab campus from late May until late September.
Applicants must be available for split shifts 6 days per week, including weekends and holidays.
On site shared staff housing is available.
Required qualifications include: knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safety practices; basic knife skills, and the demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to guests and staff; proven organizational skills.
1-2 years culinary experience including grill and cold prep plus Serve Safe certification.
Positions are seasonal, full-time, 40 hours per week
