The Beck Lab investigates the gene regulation using Big Data analysis and experimental validation. The lab aims to understand the comprehensive biological mechanisms underlying gene regulation at the transcription level and how the dysregulation of such process is associated with human diseases including aging and cancer.
Candidates should have experience in animal cell biology. Expertise in tissue culture, DNA/RNA analysis (Q-PCR), gene cloning/plasmid modification, protein analysis (western blot) and cell/tissue imaging and analysis is desired. Motivation to acquire new skills including mammalian cell biology, genomics approach (ChIP- and RNA-seq) and NGS data analysis is strongly required.
Candidates should have a M.S. in cell/molecular Biology or a closely related field. Good written and oral communication skills are essential.
