The MDI Biological Laboratory seeks to hire a Human Resources Manager to plan and administer the human resources functions for the institution. This full-time position reports to the Administrative Director and develops and manages employee-related programs including benefits, wellness, classification and compensation, performance evaluation and management, employee and supervisor training, policy development and oversight, recruiting and hiring, compliance with employment laws, and employee relations.
Required qualifications include: a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and 5-10 years of directly relevant experience, with a broad knowledge of HR functions; as well as the ability to ensure compliance with employment laws and work with all levels of staff and faculty to solve problems and support the employment experience at the institution. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certifications and non-profit or academic experience preferred.
