Education Program Coordinator
The MDI Biological Laboratory seeks an Education Program Coordinator to support Courses and Conferences and the Research Training Program. The successful candidate will coordinate the logistics of all courses, conferences, and education events, as well as research training programs such as academic year and summer research fellowships.
The MDI Biological Laboratory (MDIBL) is a rapidly growing, independent, non-profit biomedical research institution recognized by the international science community and the National Institutes of Health for its highly focused and novel research program in regenerative and aging biology and medicine. The Laboratory provides a uniquely collaborative and multidisciplinary research environment, outstanding scientific resources, and excellent student educational programs.
Required qualifications include effective communication skills to interface with administrative departments and education program applicants and registrants. In addition, the position requires demonstrated expertise in using Microsoft Office. Familiarity with relational databases, publishing software such as InDesign, and enrollment management software is preferred. The position also requires a highly organized and detail-oriented person with budgeting skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects in a highly collaborative team environment.
Preferred qualifications include: BS or BA degree, a life sciences background, experience with program management, and 3-5 years of experience working in office environment.
This is a full-time position with excellent benefits, based near Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine.
