The MDI Biological Laboratory seeks to hire an outstanding, independently funded scientist to lead and grow the Kathryn W. Davis Center for Regenerative Biology and Medicine.
The successful candidate will assume directorship of a congressionally recognized, multi-million-dollar program grant that funds the Davis Center and its core facilities, which include bioinformatics, biological imaging, and comparative animal models.
The ideal candidate will be a leader in regenerative, developmental or aging biology and an outstanding junior faculty and trainee mentor. Their research program should demonstrate a strong funding track record and commitment to using non-mammalian model systems and comparative approaches to elucidate the molecular and cellular underpinnings of tissue regeneration, somatic regenerative capacity, and/or biological aging.
A competitive startup package will be provided along with opportunities to grow the Davis Center through partnerships and junior faculty recruitment and development. This is a full-time exempt position. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until position is filled.
The MDI Biological Laboratory is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
