The Davis Center for Regenerative Biology and Medicine at the MDI Biological Laboratory invites applications for a professor-track position in bioinformatics or computational biology at the rank of assistant professor. Research in the Davis Center focuses on defining mechanisms of tissue repair and regeneration, mechanisms of cellular and organismal senescence, and regenerative medicine drug discovery by bioinformatic identification of drug targets and small molecule screening. Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D. and demonstrate the capacity to develop a high-impact and extramurally funded research program that is synergistic with ongoing Davis Center research activities.
The MDI Biological Laboratory, located in Bar Harbor, Maine, is a growing independent biomedical research institution that provides a uniquely collaborative and multidisciplinary research environment and outstanding scientific resources.
Start-up packages and salary are highly competitive and commensurate with current rank and experience. Successful candidates will have appointments in the Davis Center for Regenerative Biology and Medicine, an NIH-funded Center of Biomedical Research Excellence, and adjunct appointments at neighboring academic research institutions.
